My name is Kenny from Lawrence, Massachusetts and im 22! The reason i got mine is cause so many people have these certain standards of living and how things are supposed to be you know. I deffinitly hate society and all the bullshit people worry about that doesnt matter. So if your an average no body living by the unwritten book, your a sold soul. But the way i live is the oposite and whats important in life or what success is, its different in my eyes and dont really care about much remember life sucks then you die.
Here’s my thumbs as well:

SOUL VICE
Soul Vice.
I’m 19 years old and I joined the navy right out of high school. The main reason I did it, despite the cliche, was to get away from a lifestyle that would’ve gotten way worse if I stayed. So i started off by getting the tear drop, to remind myself of where I was, and that’s as close to it as I ever want to get again. Then I heard the song “Soul Vice” by a band called Trapped Under Ice, and one of the lyric says “Live with the vice” and it hit me, that everyone, whether they admit it or not, has a vice in their life that either holds them back or will never go away. This was MY way of acknowledging MY vice.

LOST SOUL – FU
Reverend Jim sends us these knuckle tattoos and the story behind them:
Well these tattoo’s where done the day after being released from jail which the “Lost Soul” is how I felt during the time i spent without any freedom what so ever. As for the “F.U.” that is pretty much for shit I just wanna deal with anymore. My way of releasing my anger in statement so to speak.
BODY SOUL
Blake S says:
My name is Blake and I got my knuckles tattooed at Universal Tattoo in Stephenville, TX by Lynn. I chose LONE SOUL because I have always spent a lot of my time by myself and also got the idea from the song Out of Touch by Hall and Oates. There is a line that says “We’re soul alone and soul really matters to me.”
LOST SOUL (harmless)
Holy crap y’all. Look at this! Our first set of knuckle tattoos from another country. Freakin’ Germany! Here’s a punch line: he got them done here in Austin. And double deckers at that. Here is what Osti has to say:
My name is Osti, I’m a tattooer living in Germany. Eric Doyle did the top part of my knuckles almost ten years ago when he was working for Perfection Tattoos in Austin. He did the bottom three years ago at Jinx Proof in D.C. The tattoo is about the discrepancy between how I view myself and how everybody else sees me ;-). I had no idea how hard it was to take a picture of your own hands.
Osti, we really appreciate you taking the trouble of photographing your own hands. It ain’t easy. I knew we would get knuckles from other countries, I just didn’t expect them so soon. Thanks again!
