These knuckles come from Issac here is his story:
i moved to california and back within the span of a month because i was so homesick. as soon as i got back i knew i wanted to get my home state on me somewhere, and when i finally realized it fit on my knuckles, it was obvious what i had to do.
Friday’s knuckles come courtesy of Kenneth F. of Brockton, Massachusetts and he is awesome:
I got the idea from the genre of music and it also reflects on me as a person and my lifestyle. Truly i am a nerd at heart <3. I am a nerd and I’m proud to say that I’ve role played, played magic, played video games for 24 hours straight, and that I’ve watched the entire series of Ranma 1/2 in japanese. I love who i am and i love my knuckle tat’s! (btw I’m always turned on!)
Mitch here likes to name drop. His own name in any case:
Well i always wanted to get my last name tattooed on my body like my back or neck or something, and i stared thinking about it and then i decided to get my name tattooed on my knuckles! and i love it.
Gavin D of New Zealand sends us the knuckles of him an his buddy:
heres a shot of me (I’m on the right) taken on vans Warped tour in 05. the knuckles on the right belong to my buddy james the stage tech for MXPX, he got them tattooed mid tour with “MEXICANO” and after seeing them i thought we’d form a tour bond by getting mine done.. as I’m from new zealand and we get called Kiwi’s (after our national bird not the fuzzy fruit, haha) I ended up with “KIWICANO”. so here we are reprezenting with pride.
Happy Friday y’all! These knuckles are awesome. Here is the note that came with them:
The idea for this tattoo started out as a joke. I was with some friends at an all-night diner, and we were discussing 8-letter words that would make no sense tattooed on someone’s knuckles. My friend said ‘elephant’ and since I really like elephants for no reason, I decided that would be it. My tattoo artist asked me why I was getting the word elephant tattooed on my knuckles, and I just said “Because I never forget.” So that’s why.
Alex M. sends us these knuckles with a note:
I got ARROGANT cause it fits, not a lot of people have it (that I know of) and its 8 letters…
These knuckles were sent in by Steve in Wellington, New Zealand:
I’m a huge metal fan, have been since I was young, got introduced by older brothers record collection of Van Halen, Deep Purple etc. Moved on to Metallica, Maiden etc, then progressed to Thrash metal, Death metal, Black metal etc. Love it all, live for it. Got the idea for the tatt when I was drunk at an Unearth/Killswitch engage show. Metal for life! Tattoo done by Manu at Tattoo City, Wellington, New Zealand.
These puzzlers come to us on the hands of RayRay. Story below:
I had been waiting for the perfect knuckle tattoo for years, and when Martha Stewart was (wrongly!!) sent to prison in ’04, i was reading an article about it that gave her Federal Prisoner Number. Being a huge fan i instantly realized that a gangstyle tribute to her was perfect. My buddy actually opened up his shop in the middle of the night to do it. I still think it’s as funny as hell but i do have to explain it a lot, and i get a lot of blank stares. The color was custom mixed to match one of her paint chips from K-Mart: “Hosta Green”.

Ah flickr, thanks again for the random photos. Not only does this guy like Nintendo, it also seems he is from Vermont as far as I can tell.
UPDATE: Reader Terry L. sends this in:
the only guy i know with that “vermont” tatt across his eck is one of the guys from the cali alt.country band “the devil makes three“. i didn’t know he had a nintendo knuckle tatt, but i just looked at some pics on their site and sure enough, it’s true. makes me like the band even more than i did, and that was quite a bit!
Thanks for the update Terry! Apparently it is Cooper McBean of “The Devil Makes Three”. And yes, he does come from Vermont.
